Day 1: Fly to the San Jose International airport (SJO). As soon as you step off the aircraft you will be met by one of our representatives, where your itinerary will be explained and any questions you have will be answered. The representative will provide you with a pouch that contains vouchers and information about your trip. From the airport you will be privately transported to Hotel Alta. Only 15 minutes away from San Jose located in the colourful suburb of Escazu and Santa Ana. Hotel Alta is a wonderful Spanish/Costa Rican style colonial hotel offering superb service and dining in a unqiue location. From the hotel on a clear day you can see 3 of the volcanoes surrounding the central valley and the towns of Alajuela and Heredia.

Day 2: You will be picked up early in the morning and the drive through Braulio Carrillo National Park, where you have the opportunity to see beautiful views and abundant vegetation. On the way you will stop for breakfast at Selva Tropical Restaurant where you can enjoy a butterfly garden with a variety of tropical flowers. After breakfast you will continue our trip to Caño Blanco deck driving by banana plantations.
At Caño Blanco, you will board the covered boat to the lodge, passing the Tortuguero canals arriving between 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. You will stay at Pachira Lodge in Tortuguero which is famous for where the Turtles lay their eggs.

Day 3: Optional 6:15 am tour to admire the awakening of the wildlife of Tortuguero. Return for breakfast (service between 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.). Then another boat tour to admire the canals of Tortuguero National Park. This is a wonderful and interesting experience where you can see abundant flora and fauna of Tortuguero National Park. Return to the lodge for lunch and free time for a siesta, enjoy the pool or go for a walk to the beach. Then you have another optional tour to the canals or stay at the lodge to explore the private trails of the lodge and visit the open butterfly garden. Dinner at the lodge and free night. Depending on the time of year you may get to see the Turtles Nesting!!

Day 4: Take a private transfer to Arenal with your very own private English speaking driver/guide. Stay at the Arenal Paraiso in a Superior Private Bungalow with direct views of the Volcano. Now its time to relax, why not send the kids off to the pool while you enjoy a well earned drink in the hot spring fed wet bar.

Day 5: Wake up and get ready to explore all that Arenal has to offer. Take an Observation Hike of the volcano with a guide who will point animals and plants of interest, finish the guided tour reaching a vantage point over the volcano where you are able to watch the lava flow. After this relax and soothe your muscles in the natural mineral hot springs of the Tabacon Resort and enjoy a buffet dinner at the resort. Stay at the Arenal Paraiso.

Day 7 : Today you are going to experience the rainforest in a way you have never before. You and the kids are going to take a walk through the canopy of the Monteverde Cloud Forest. You will have the opportunity to explore the forest canopy in a safe and easy manner, walking a simple trail system through the tropical jungle featuring seven suspension bridges that crisscross deep canyons at the level of treetops. Tell the kids to keep their eyes pealed, as if they are lucky they may see the world famous Quetzal bird!!! Stay at Hotel El Establo. Day 8 : Take a private transfer to Manuel Antonio, stay at Hotel Si Como No.

Day 11 : Transfer to Manuel Antonio Airstrip and take a flight to Palma Sur. Then take a boat transfer to the Aguila de Osa, set in the last natural frontier in Costa Rica. If you want to see Costa Rica in its raw eco form then you are in the right place. There are numerous packages available as part of the stay at Aguila de Osa, you can choose from the Whale and Dolphin Interaction, Jungle Package and Standard Package. This journey takes you on the Jungle package. Which ever you choose you will definitely have the opportunity to see some of Costa Rica's famous wildlife!!!
