Hotel La Mariposa, Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica

Recently Costa Rica Holiday visited and stayed at La Mariposa and we wanted to give you a bit more of an insight into the wonderful Hotel La Mariposa.

The view you see above is nothing compared to the view when you first arrive. As you walk up the steps to the reception and through the restaurant you jaw will of course hit the flaw as one of the top 5 views of the Pacific Ocean hits your eyes. To the left you will see the world famous national park of Manuel Antonio.

The Hotel is actually featured in the book 1000 places to stay before you die and it is very easy to see why. The view from the hotel is the best in Costa Rica and the service at the hotel is outstanding. The best rooms for views are the Junior Suites however if you are looking for comfort with a great view the new Premier Suites are a must!! The hotel is 30 years old in total and does need some renovating in some of the elder standard and deluxe rooms. We would highly suggest paying a little extra for the Premier Suite. Also the Presidential suite is very well priced and offers ultimate luxury.

There are 3 pools at the hotel, one a family size pool that is great for lounging and sun bathing. The other 2 are swim up bars with the best being the one on the 2nd floor as it has wonderful sunset and ocean views. The hotel offers wonderful international cuisine at a reasonable price for the area.

There are a lot of tours in the area and Costa Rica Holiday experienced the Dolphin Tour where we saw many tropical spotted Dolphins. The tour finished with a snorkeling tour where many tropical fish can be seen as well as a chance to maybe see the dolphins.

If you are a couple or a family this hotel will offer you a great experience in paradise like tropical settings.
