Costa Rica Holiday finds heaven on earth!!!

We think we have found heaven on earth!!! The past weekend Costa Rica holiday visited the new Los Altos de Eros which opened in the Tamarindo area last year. This was our 2nd visit to the hotel however this time we visited during high season where brilliant blue skies rein above 24 hours a day. On our flight from San Jose the country looked so lush as we followed the coast line over the the Nicoya Peninsula. The flights was quick and uneventful apart from the panoramic views of Costa Rica. On landing at Tamarindo Airstrip we were met by Francisco one of Los Altos de Eros's drivers who drove us over some roads which need some love to say the best. Situated 20 minutes outside of Tamarindo the hotel overlooks the rainforest below and the Ocean of Langosta beach in the distance. It is not on the beach I hear you say!! Well do not worry as there 2 drivers who will drive you to some spectacular beaches in the area - you can visit Playa Conchal. Playa Grande, Playa Flamingo etc. Why stay on the beach when you can have peace and quiet with access to some of greatest beaches in Costa Rica.

On arrival Silvia the Assistant Manager was waiting for us along with bella the dog who is always pleased to meet new people. As you step into the entry way a breath taking, jaw dropping view hits you. You have the crystal clear infinity edge pool literally hitting the Pacific Ocean view with the rainforest around and the howler congo monkeys chanting to your arrival. As you walk further in you realise that a lot of love and personal attention has gone into this, into this ..... what can you call it? It is not a hotel and as it is called it is not an Inn as it is too luxurious, maybe a luxury inn is what it should be called. As we were showed to our private Ocean view room with an outside shower and a wonderful king bed we heard knocking at the door. It was the ladies from the spa beckoning us for our days spa treatment. What better way to relax than with a day in the spa. We started with a full body massage in a wonderful costa rica style wooden spa facility. After 1 hour of massaging we stepped into a fresh milk and citrus bath. As we laid there in the milk and citrus bath with the view of the ocean and the sounds of the rainforest it occurred to me that since the moment I arrived everybody was very pleased to see me. The staff always had smiles on their face and it appeared that they were ready to serve and make your holiday the best ever. Well after a facial and a mud bath it was time to relax by the pool and enjoy a great Ayn Rand book called Atlas Shrugged.

Well to cut a long story short the weekend went perfectly and the staff were the best we have ever experienced in Costa Rica. Los Altos De Eros Luxury Inn is definitely a place that everybody should visit as the service is top notch, the food spectacular and the location wonderful for peace and tranquility as the town of Tamarindo is becoming rather Americanised. There is a reason that on Tripadvisor it is rated #1 in Tamarindo and #1 in Costa Rica, every remark rates it 5 stars and I would give it 10 if I could. Of all the hotels that I have visited this is by far #1 for me!!
