Latitude 10 is a new and exclusive luxury beach resort, which can only be described as the closet to perfection that i have ever come across!! Located in Mal Pais, Santa Theresa, Latitude 10 takes its name from its position, 10 degrees North of the Equator.
From the moment that you arrive you can feel the outstanding luxury that this exclusive resort has to offer to its lucky residents. The beach fronted lodge that we stayed in was absolutely amazing, from the stylish decoration and seating/table area to the outrageously comfortable four poster bed!! There's nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the waves, and being just 100m from the beach, you will experience this every night of your stay!!
Another great feature of these stunning bungalow lodges, is the open air bathroom. They are like nothing that i have experienced before, yet a wonderful experience. Don't worry though, they are very private, yet give you the feel of freedom at the same time, a great feature of the resort.
Each of the lodges combines a great sleeping area, into an open plan layout, with comfortable seating, a dining area with a table and chairs, and an outside terrace, where we spent wonderful evenings listening to the sounds of the rainforest that surrounds the resort on 3 sides, with the beach and ocean views to the other. Sitting outside, watching the sunset with a cocktail has to be the perfect end to a day, at the perfect resort!!
When i say that this resort is perfection, i truly mean it. The service that we received during our stay was by far the best and most personal that i have ever received, not just in Costa Rica, but in the world. Jade and Rafa were outstanding for the full duration of our stay, tending to our every need, quickly, efficiently and perfectly, i couldn't have hoped for anything close to what we received!
The restaurant was our next port of call, and again it didn't just meet our expectations that had been built up by the rest of the resort, but it blew them away! The service again was flawless, and when the food arrived, well lets just say it looked to good to eat, and the best was still to come! Sebastien the Chef made fruits and vegetables taste like i had never experienced before, the food was truly top class! Is there anything that this resort doesn't do to perfection?? Based on my weekend there, i can say with some authority that the answer to that question is a resounding no!
I truly could not fault this resort in a single way, the location is great surrounded by tropical rainforest and the stunning beach and ocean views. The service was by far the best ive ever received, the food is gorgeous and the lodges themselves are wonderful. Latitude 10 should be put in the dictionary as the definition of Perfection!!
