In the Costa Rican News - Week March 4th - 11th 2006

New Costa Rican President is Announced!!!

Finally 1 month after the election and a lot of scandal the Costa Rican Supreme Elections Tribunal declared Oscar Arias the out right winner of the elections of 2006. Oscar Arias will now have a term of 4 years to put his stamp on Costa Rica again. One of the first things that will happen is the Free Trade Agreement will of course be voted through allowing Free Trade with the US. One of the major factor effecting Oscar Arias is the fact that over 60% of the population did not vote for him!!!

It came of no shock to most people that Oscar Arias had one however by such a small margin of only 18,00o votes is the closest in history.
