The Pachira Lodge is in a very beautifully landscaped setting and can only be reached by boat as it located on the large canal in the rainforest. On arrival at the hotel, you are greeted with refreshing drinks whilst waiting to be accommodated to your room. Inside the lodge it is all wood and beautifully-carved with tile details and everything is open air and exposed to nature. Even as you walk to your individual room you will cross over elevated boardwalks raised above the canal.

The real reason to be here is for the wildlife. It is great to see monkeys when walking around and taking advantage of the canal trips will show you an abundance of wildlife in their natural setting. The Howler monkeys that sit on your roof, the toucans at dawn and all the other critters that can be seen and heard here is just phenomenal! The monkeys are great fun and you will get some great shots of them in the trees everywhere in and around this lodge.

The bar area next to the pool is very nice with a stunning waterfall feature. The massages on offer by the pool side are highly recommended and should be made an essential part of your trip to the Pachira Lodge.
