Peace Lodge - Perfect for everyone!

Peace Lodge is one of the most distinctive hotels in Costa Rica and it is clear to see why. The hotel is appealing to everyone from honeymoon couples wanting a quiet retreat to families away for an adventure break. The service is first class and the amount of hummingbirds in the area is overwhelming but mesmerising to watch.

The rooms in Peace Lodge are the most impressive in the country with the main distinction earned from the bathrooms with their waterfall imitation showers. The rooms are large with hand-crafted wood beds, sparkling wooden floors, beautiful stone fireplaces and lots of other quirky, creative details. Every room has a balcony overlooking the grounds with a mosaic tiled Jacuzzi. The huge beds are super comfy, the in-room CD player comes with a selection of music and an excellent sound system which can be played in the bathroom too. There is also a large selection of DVDs that can be borrowed free of charge if you would like to chill out and watch a film.

The Big Trout Bar on site has amazing food and tasty drinks where you can eat outdoors with the fireflies around you. Also in the grounds, you will find waterfalls, a huge butterfly garden, a monkey cage and a trout pond where you can catch your own dinner.

Guests here have full access to all the tours and attractions of the La Paz Waterfall to get the most out of the experience of Peace Lodge. The lodge is located about 45 minutes from the airport and makes a good first stop if your itinerary takes you next to La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano, or to the Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí region. The location is right by the La Paz Waterfall Gardens and there are 5 gorgeous waterfalls nearby that you can hike to. What’s more, the stunning summit of Poas Volcano is only about a twenty minute drive away.

I truly could not fault this resort in a single way, the location is great surrounded by tropical rainforest and the stunning beach and ocean views. The service was by far the best ive ever received, the food is gorgeous and the lodges themselves are wonderful. Peace Lodge should be put in the dictionary as the definition of Perfection!!
