Day
1: Fly to the San Jose International airport
(SJO). As soon as you step off the aircraft you
will be met by one of our representatives, where
your itinerary will be explained and any questions
you have will be answered. The representative will
provide you with a pouch that contains vouchers
and information about your trip. From the airport
you will be privately transported to the luxury
Xandari
Plantation Inn overlooking the spectacular Central
Valley of Costa Rica. The hotel is situated on a
40 acre coffee and fruit plantation and the purpose
of the hotel was to construct paradise while keeping
the natural beauty of Costa Rica at heart. The Inn
offers beautiful sweeping views over the valley
as well as a fabulous Spa.
Day
2: After breakfast you will take private
transportation with a guided driver up through the
rainforest and into the mountains. After around
2-3 hours you will see the magnificent Volcan Arenal,
one of Central America's most active volcanoes.
Here you will stay on the man made Lake Arenal at
the 5 star cottage resort of La
Mansion Arenal. You will have the private Honeymoon
Cottage with a view over the lake and surrounding
mountains.
Day
3: Spend today relaxing and enjoy being
a married a couple. You may wish to go white water
rafting if you wish or just relax in a hammock and
read a book.
Day
4 : Wake up and get ready to explore all
that Arenal has to offer. Take an Arenal
Observation Hike and Hot Springs Tour of the
volcano with a guide who will point animals and
plants of interest, finish the guided tour reaching
a vantage point over the volcano where you are able
to watch the lava flow. After this relax and soothe
your muscles in the natural mineral hot springs
of the Tabacon Resort and enjoy a buffet dinner
at the resort.
Day
5: Again another free day to relax and
maybe do a Quad bike tour, white water rafting or
any other tours in the
area.
Day
6 : Take a 4x4 and boat transfer across
Lake Arenal to Monteverde, famous for the Monteverde
Cloud Forest. Stay at Hotel
El Establo. Here you will have the Master Suite
with sweeping views of the mountain and the rainforest,
on a clear day you will be able to see the Gulf
of Nicoya and the Pacific Ocean. Set on a private
150 acres farm (50% protected primary forest) adjacent
to the Monteverde Reserve, El Establo offers great
views and an abundance of wildlife awaits, especially
the rare Quetzal.
Day
7 : Today you better be ready to
play Superman/Tarzan in the Jungle of Costa
Rica. Monteverde offers one of Costa Rica's
best and most adrenaline rushing canopy zip
line tours. You will transported to the Santa
Elena Reserve where you will fly across the
tops of the Canopy, repel down 100m trees
and tarzan swing on a 40m jungle rope!! Even
if you are not a fan of heights it's a great
tour with the last zip line being 600m long
through the clouds. Once you have finished
this you may have the opportunity to visit
the suspension bridges at the Santa Elena
reserve where you will walk through the jungle
on bridges.
Day
8 : Take
a private transfer to Manuel Antonio along
the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. once you
arrive in Manuel Antonio you will drive up
the 500ft cliff that makes Manuel Antonio
so famous. It has been said that Manuel Antonio
has one of the top 5 views of the Pacific
Ocean in the World!!! The area is great for
a honeymoon as you have tropical rainforest
hitting white sanded beaches. Here you will
stay at the famous villa hotel of Makanda
by Sea. The hotel offers a tranquil setting
with private villas overlooking the rainforest
below and the views of the Ocean are magnificent.
There is nothing better than waking up in
the morning to breakfast being delivered to
the room, monkey's visiting to say good morning
and the view of the Pacific Ocean.
Day
9 - 13: Over the next couple of days
the time really is yours to relax and unwind
at the beach. Makanda offers guests their
own private beach only a 5 minute walk from
the property as well as the National Park
beaches of Manuel Antonio only a 5 minute
taxi ride away. You may wish to do some tours:
Whale and Dolphin Cruise, Catamaran Island
Cruise, National Park Tour, etc.
The
National Park of Manuel Antonio offers a wide
variety of wildlife that is often seen on
the National Geographic Channel. There 4 species
of monkeys in the park, sloth's, parrots and
other Jungle creatures. It;s always best to
do this with a guide as our untrained eyes
will not be able to see all that there is
on offer.
Day 14:
Time to leave Paradise and start your journey
back home. You will be transported back to
San Jose to spend your last night in this
fantastic country at the wonderful Xandari
Plantation Inn in your own private villa.
The Inn offers some great massages and excellent
cuisine.
Day
15: Privately transfer to San Jose
international airport and have a safe flight
home.
