Day
1: Fly to the San Jose International airport
(SJO). As soon as you step off the aircraft you
will be met by one of our representatives where
your itinerary will be explained and any questions
you have will be answered. The representative will
provide you with a pouch that contains vouchers
and information about your trip. From the airport
you will be privately transported to Hotel
Grano de Oro of Costa Rica's Five Small Distinctive
hotels. The hotel is situated in a quiet street
of central San Jose just of the main avenue, Ciudad
Colon. Grano de Oro is a Victorian style colonial
hotel offering some of Costa Rica's finest dining.
Grano de Oro is a great first night on that altogether
special honeymoon.
Day
2: Get ready for an adrenaline fueled day
of exhilarating white water rafting on the river
Rio Pacuare. It has been voted one of the top five
white water rafting rivers in the world. After a
long day of rafting you will be transferred back
to the Grano de Oro hotel in San Jose for an evening
of relaxation.
Day
3: Arise early and board your transfer
to Arenal. On the way prepare yourself for the ultimate
thrill. Travel for about 50 minutes to Naranjo where
you will be bungee jumping off the bridge. Are you
ready for the 150ft freefall that awaits? After
the jump you will continue your transfer to Arenal
home of one of the worlds most active volcanoes,
but don't worry it is perfectly safe. You will stay
at the 5 star Tabacon
Hotsprings Resort.
Day 4: Wake up and spend the morning admiring
the impressive Arenal Volcano or maybe sample some
of the treatments offered by the top class spa at
the resort. In the afternoon you will take a 4x4
trip in to the Costa Rican rainforest where you
will spend the afternoon canyoning This involves
abseiling down waterfalls and trekking through the
pristine and beautiful canyon below. Here you will
see monkeys, sloths and many species of birds in
the jungle above. You will then take the 4x4 back
to the Tabacon Hotsprings Resort where you will
spend the night.
Day
5: Wake up and get ready to explore all
that Arenal has to offer: Take an Arenal
Observation Hike Tour of the volcano in the
afternoon with a guide who will point out animals
and plants of interest. Finish the guided tour reaching
a vantage point over the volcano where you are able
to watch the lava flow. From here you will be taken
the to the impressive Tabacon hot springs to relax
and soothe those aching muscles. Stay at Tabacon
Hotsprings.
Day
6: Arise early to take your transfer
to Monteverde where you will arrive at the
El
Establo hotel. Take your time to settle
in and relax, maybe do a little exploration,
or simply lay by the pool.
Day 7: Monteverde is one
of few rainforests in the clouds and offers
a very rustic stay. The cloud forest itself
is very damp which allows other types of animals
and plants to live here. One of the great
things about Costa Rica is that wherever you
go the rainforest will always offer something
different. You may be lucky enough to see
the Quetzal that people travel from all over
the world to see. In the afternoon you will
take on Costa Rica's most adrenaline pumped
Canopy Tour, a must do whilst in Costa Rica.
This tour is with Aventura Canopy and offers
safety and adrenaline. The longest zip line
is 650m long and goes over the rainforest
below. This is an experience not to be missed.
Day 8-13: Take a private
transfer to the Hotel
la Mariposa which is featured in the book
of 1000 things to do before you die. It´s
said to have one of the top five views in
the world, truly idyllic. Take a few days
to relax and reflect on the adrenaline packed
first half of your honeymoon, spend some time
together, relax on the beach and enjoy the
paradise that is Manuel Antonio.
Day
14: Privately transfer to San Jose
international airport and have a safe flight
home.
