Day
1: Fly to the San Jose International airport
(SJO). As soon as you step off the aircraft you
will be met by one of our representatives, where
your itinerary will be explained and any questions
you have will be answered. The representative will
provide you with a pouch that contains vouchers
and information about your trip. From the airport
you will be privately transported to the luxury
Grano
de Oro Hotel. Located in the quiet outskirts
of San Jose, this beautiful hotel has plenty to
offer for your first night in Costa Rica. Be sure
to try the great restaurant as the food is superb
as is the service. Why not explore a bit of the
area, maybe check out some of the bars in the area
for some typical Costa Rican culture! Don't stay
out too late though as the real adventure begins
in the morning.
Day
2: Take your time to wake up and enjoy
the exquisite breakfast on offer before boarding
your private transfer across to the Central Pacific
Coast town of Manuel Antonio, and the luxurious
small hotel of Gaia. Here you will be amazed by
the outstanding luxury on offer, along with some
of the very best service you will find anywhere.
Feel free to spend the rest of the day doing as
you please, maybe take a walk down to the beautiful
white sanded beach, or simply relax by the pool,
it is your honeymoon after all! Stay at Hotel
Gaia.
Day
3: Manuel Antonio has sooo much to offer
you really will be spoilt for choice here. There
are miles and miles of beautiful white sanded beaches
to enjoy, stunning blue waters and tours galore.
There is everything from ATV tours, surf lessons,
canopy tours and much more on offer, along with
an abundance of wildlife to discover.
The
National Park of Manuel Antonio offers a wide variety
of wildlife that is often seen on the National Geographic
Channel. There 4 species of monkeys in the park,
sloth's, parrots and other Jungle creatures. It;s
always best to do this with a guide as our untrained
eyes will not be able to see all that there is on
offer.
However,
you will be forgiven for simply wanting to kick
back, relax and enjoy being a married couple. Stay
at Hotel Gaia.
Day
4& 5: The next two days are yours to
use as you please. Spend it getting a tan on the
beach, relaxing by the pool with a good book or
exploring the local area, there is so much to do
you really will be spoilt for choice. If you wish
tours can be pre arranged for you before you arrive,
or alternatively you can see what takes your fancy
once in this great area. Stay at Hotel Gaia.
Day 6 :
Wake up in your own time and enjoy breakfast
before boarding your own private, air conditioned
micro bus which will transfer you to your
next small luxury hotel of Costa Rica. You
will be taken inland to the picturesque area
of Arenal, home to one of the most active
volcanoes in the world, Volcano Arenal. This
skyline dominating spectacle is said to erupt,
on average, every 48 minutes but don't worry
its perfectly safe! You will be staying at
the beautiful hotel known as Lost
Iguana. Take the rest of the day to relax
and admire the views as your going to need
all your energy over the next few days!
Day
7 : Get ready for a unique experience
today as you take a rainforest canopy zip
line tour. This will see you climb high into
the tree tops of the rainforest, where you
will find a network of zip lines all varying
in length and speed. Don't forget your camera
as there are some spectacular views to be
had here. The rest of the day will be yours
to use as you please. Stay at Lost Iguana.
Day
8 : Rise
early today as you get ready for the next
stage of your Arenal Adventure. If you thought
yesterday was exciting wait until you see
what today has in store! You will be picked
up early and taken down to the Rio Toro, where
you will taking a full days white water rafting,
on class 3 and 4 rapids. This tour is aimed
towards total beginners so don't worry if
you've never done it before, and likewise
if you have its still great fun. Stay at Lost
Iguana.
Day
9: Today is more about relaxation
than the first 2 as you will first take a
leisurely hike to some great vantage points
of the volcano. If you are lucky you will
see the lava flow as the volcano erupts. After
seeing the volcano what better way to end
this part of your trip than to visit the simply
amazing Tabacon Hotsprings. These consist
of a number of natural water pools heated
by the volcano, containing skin healing minerals.
There are many pools which get hotter and
hotter the higher up you venture. This place
is as good as it sounds, and you may never
want to leave! Stay at Lost Iguana.
Day
10: Time to leave the Volcano behind
and head for the beach once again, and another
of the world renowned 'Small Hotels of the
World' known as Punta
Islita on the Nicoya Peninsula. Here you
will have great personal service catering
to your every need. Take the next few days
to really kick back, relax and enjoy the sun.
Day
11 - 13: Spend these next 3 days
as you wish, enjoy the sun, maybe try your
hand at surfing or some of the other great
tours in the area. Its completely up to you.
Stay at Punta Islita.
Day
14: Your stay in paradise is almost
over as you take a private transfer back to
San Jose where it all began. You will again
spend a single night at the Grano de Oro hotel.
Feel free to spend the rest of the day exploring
some of the city or simply relax in each others
company.
Day
15: This is it, time to wave goodbye
to all the luxury and paradise that you have
experience over the last 14 days and board
your flight from San Jose back home.
