Day
1: Fly to the San Jose International airport
(SJO). As soon as you step off the aircraft you
will be met by one of our representatives, where
your itinerary will be explained and any questions
you have will be answered. The representative will
provide you with a pouch that contains vouchers
and information about your trip. From the airport
you will be privately transported to Hotel Grano
de Oro. The Grano de Oro is part of the small
distinguished 7 hotels in Costa Rica and is located
within 15 minutes of the airport in a quiet neighborhood
in downtown San Jose close to the center of town.
It offers some of the best cuisine by the their
award winning French Chef and a colonial Costa Rican
feel with some modern touches throughout.
Day
2: Wake up and enjoy a great breakfast
in the garden of the hotel, you would not know you
are in the centre of town. You will be transported
to the local airstrip where you will take a short
flight south towards the Panama/Costa Rica border
to the town of Puerto Jiminez. Here you will drive
to the Luxury eco-lodge called
Lapa Rios. Set in a private nature reserve spread
over 1,000 acres of Central America's last remaining
lowland tropical rainforest in Costa Rica, Lapa
Rios Eco lodge overlooks the pristine point where
the Golfo Dulce meets the wild Pacific Ocean, making
it the destination that matches every one's idea
of paradise. If you are looking to see nature at
its wildest and untouched by man then Lapa Rios
and the Osa are for you. Includes: Deluxe ocean
view bungalow. 3 extraordinary meals daily- non
alcoholic beverages and taxes. 3 guided tours: Rainforest

Day
3 - 4: Either relax in your Ocean View
bungalow with a great book in the hammock or take
the jungle for some of the adventures that await
you at Lapa Rios: Rainforest waterfall hike, horseback
riding and Osa trails jungle hike.
Day
5 : Wake up to the sounds of the Parrots
outside and Monkey's howling, yes you are still
in paradise and not back in sunny blighty!!! After
breakfast you will be taken to the airstrip where
you take the scenic route the Arenal volcano over
the Central mountain regions of San Jose and up
to Arenal. Once at the airstrip you will be privately
transported to the luxury resort at the foot of
the volcano known as the Lost
Iguana Resort. The Lost Iguana is one of Arenal's
newest hotels and is setting the standard with regards
to turning rustic comfortable into rustic luxury.
Situated
on 100 acres of private reserve and with direct
views of the volcano, the hotel offers guests everything
they need from an Arenal Hotel.
Day
6-7: Wake and go to bed with the spectacular
view of one of Central America's most active Volcanoes,
but do not worry you are safe. Maybe decide to enjoy
a hike of the Volcano and visit the Tabacon hot
springs which are famous for their naturally heated
volcano mineral pools, believe us when we say you
will not want to get out!!!
Day
8: Wake
up late and enjoy a quiet leisurely breakfast with
the volcano at every turn. Then you will be transported
to Arenal Airstrip where you will fly along the Pacific
Coast down to the Central Pacific's tropical paradise
of Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio is where you will
find tropical rainforest hitting white sanded beaches.
The rainforests are full of monkey's sloth's, iguana's
and other such creatures. Here you will stay at another
small distinguished hotel called Makanda
by the Sea. Makanda has been built in balance
with its natural surroundings. Using nature as the
backdrop, the contemporary architecture's
openness
allows the rich tropical flora to become a part
of the living environment. There are 11 luxury air
conditioned villas on the complex and all are decorated
in a Costa Rican fashion with magnificent views
of the surrounding rainforest and ocean.
Day
9- 12: Remember you are in Paradise!! At
Makanda by the Sea breakfast is delivered to the
room every morning so that you may sit on the porch
and enjoy as the monkey’s come looking!! The
views of the rainforest and the Pacific Ocean below
are fabulous. While in Manuel Antonio you will visit
the National Park and do a tour of the park with
a guide who will use his expertise to point out
animals of interest that you and me cannot see.
Makanda also offers some great cuisine and a wonderful
pool overlooking the Ocean.
Day
13: Take a late afternoon flight back to
San Jose before your International Flight back to
the UK. You will fly to San Jose and then transported
to the Grano de Oro for your last night.
Day
14: Privately transfer to San Jose international
airport and have a safe flight home.
