Day
1: Fly to the San Jose International airport
(SJO). As soon as you step off the aircraft you
will be met by one of our representatives, where
your itinerary will be explained and any questions
you have will be answered. The representative will
provide you with a pouch that contains vouchers
and information about your trip. From the airport
you will be privately transported to Grano
de Oro hotel in downtown San Jose. Located in
a quiet street off the main road of San Jose, the
Grano de Oro offer a boutique luxury stay in a beautiful
City. The hotel is conveniently located for shopping
and exploring what San Jose has to offer. The restaurant
at the Grano de Oro serves some of the finest cuisine
in Costa Rica cooked by the well known French chef. |
Day
2: Have you heard of the Rio Pacuare? Well
by the end of today you will have white water rafted
it. You will be picked up in the morning and transferred
90 minutes to the Rio Pacuare where you will board
the boat that will take you for 3 hours down the
Class III-IV rapids. Do not worry if you have not
done this before as 90% of people who do it have
not. You will fight the rapids and swim in the cool
waters of the Central valley. After 3 hours of rafting
all you will want to do is get back to the hotel
and have a good dinner and probably sleep. You will
return to the hotel and have the afternoon to yourself. |
Day
3: Today you can have a lie in. After breakfast
you will be transported up into the mountains to
the area where one of the world's most active volcano
lies, however do not worry as it is very safe. On
average the volcano erupts every 48 minutes and
fingers crossed you will have a clear sky day. This
way you will be able to see the smoke plumes and
the lava as it flows down the volcanoes cone. You
will check into the Tabacon
Hot Springs Resort. The resort offers Costa
Rica's best hot springs that are thermally heated
by the Arenal Volcano and great for relaxing in
after a hard days tour. The lava flow of the volcano
is on the Tabacon side and usually on a clear night
a great photo opportunity will appear as the glowing
lava jumps form the volcano and into the air. |

Day
4: It is always hard to miss the huge volcano
right in front of your window!! Do not worry as
today you will taking an even closer look as you
do an Observation Hike
of the volcano. You will go with a guide who will
point animals and plants of interest as you walk
over the old lava flow that is about 40 years old.
Sometimes if you stand still you can hear the volcano
rumbling under your feet!! Finish the guided tour
reaching a vantage point over the volcano where
you are able to watch the lava flow. You may wish
to rest those muscles in the Natural Hot Springs
after you are finished.
Day
5: Today you will be combining abseiling
and waterfalls, a unusual combination but a thrilling
mix as you will see. You will 4x4 into the jungle
then walk through the dense jungle until you reach
some of Costa Rica's most impressive waterfalls.
You will jump into a harness and Abel down 3 waterfalls
and down a 350 foot canyon, on the way you may spot
wildlife such a monkeys, sloth's, and tropical birds. |
Day
6 : After breakfast you will take give
you bags to the van driver and you will mount horses
that that will take you to the Arenal Lake. You
will pass via the volcano and through the jungle
to the lakes edge. Here you will board a boat which
will take you to the other side of the Lake. Again
horses will be waiting for you to take you to the
Monteverde Cloud Rainforest. You will arrive at
the El
Establo Hotel and your bags will be waiting
for you. The El Establo offers great views of the
Rainforest around and on a clear day you are sure
to see the Nicoya Peninsula and the Pacific Ocean.
The hotel is well located for a walk into town or
into the Cloud Rainforest. Enjoy your stay in the
clouds. |

7 : Wake up late today and enjoy the fresh
air of being 3000 feet above sea level in the clouds.
Take a short drive to the Santa Elena Reserve where
you will play Superman and Tarzan in one. You will
jump into a harness as instructors will show you the
canopy of the rainforest like no other way before.
You will zip along cables at the top of the canopy.
You will work yourself through 12 cables, 1 Tarzan
swing and a repel of 30m. This tour is the best way
to see the rainforest while combining it with some
adrenaline flow!! After the tour the afternoon is
yours. |

Day
8: Today you will be transported to paradise.
On your journey from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio
you will hopefully see Toucans, Crocodiles and policemen.
The journey from the mountains to the coast will
take you through the rainforest and along the beautiful
Pacific Coast. Once you reach Manuel Antonio you
will stay at La
Mariposa Hotel which has one of the top 5 views
of the Pacific Ocean in the world. Enjoy relaxing
as there will be no throwing yourself off waterfalls
or rafting down rapids, it will just be rest, relax
and sun.
Day
9 - 14: Enjoy the white sanded beaches
of the Manuel Antonio National Park. |

15: You will take a short 20 minute flight
to the International airport from Manuel Antonio and
fly home. |
