Day 1: Fly to the San Jose International airport (SJO). As soon as you step off the aircraft you will be met by one of our representatives, where your itinerary will be explained and any questions you have will be answered. The representative will provide you with a pouch that contains vouchers and information about your trip. From the airport you will be privately transported to the Xandari Plantation Inn, which is only a quick 15-20 minutes from the International Airport. The Xandari Plantation Inn is situated in the hills overlooking the Central Valley where the important cities of San Jose, Alejuela and Heredia lie. The Inn is a mecca of peace and tranquility set on an old coffee plantation offering great walking trails.

Day 2: When you wake up enjoy the wonderfully decorated private villas that Xandari offers to all guests. All of the villas have their own private terraces where breakfast can be enjoyed with a fine cup of fresh Costa Rican coffee or a natural fruit juice drink. The views are as green as they get and the property has spectacular tropical gardens and an array of humming birds and other such creatures. If you wish you can book some relaxing spa treatment in your own private jalapa (palm-roofed pavilion). The Xanadari Village Spa offers and array of treatments from mud raps to full body couples massages. Relax today and recuperate after a long travel!

Day 3: After breakfast at around 11am you will be privately transported up into the mountains and through local villages to the town of La Fortuna where one of the worlds most active volcano's lies. The volcano can be seen erupting on average every 48 minutes. You will check into the Tabacon Hot Springs Resort and Spa located at the foot of the Volcano where naturally heated pools of water flow through the grounds. The pools are said to have amazing healing properties and range in temperature from 29 to 40 degrees celsius. The Iskandia Spa is located right in the middle of the flowing pools and offers a relaxing setting for some great Spa treatments. As a guest of the hotel you are able to use the Hot Springs when ever you feel like it.

Day 4: It is always hard to miss the huge volcano right in front of your window!! Do not worry as today you will taking an even closer look as you do an Observation Hike of the volcano. You will go with a guide who will point animals and plants of interest as you walk over the old lava flow that is about 40 years old. Sometimes if you stand still you can hear the volcano rumbling under your feet!! Finish the guided tour reaching a vantage point over the volcano where you are able to watch the lava flow. You may wish to rest those muscles in the Natural Hot Springs after you are finished, back at the hotel.

Day 5 - 6 : The next 2 days are yours to do what you will. The Iskandria Spa offers some great spa treatments such as 'a combination of acupuncture and massage', hot stone massages, reflexology and other great treatments. If you do not feel like relaxing why not try out some great tours in the area.

Day 8-12: The hotel is rated one of the best in Costa Rica and it is easy to see why. The staff are amazing and service 5 star. Being so close to the beach allows for a cool refreshing breeze, and the sounds from the rainforest are second to none. Day 13: After a wonderful fresh and healthy breakfast privately Transfer to Tambor Airstrip and take an afternoon flight back to San Jose. From here you will be taken to the Grano de Oro hotel in San Jose to enjoy your last night.
