Arenal Observation Hike - Horseback, Arenal

The Arenal Observation Hike is one the most popular tours in the Arenal area and it is easy to see why. The Arenal Volcano is Central America's most active Volcano, however do not worry as it is perfectly safe.

This tour will take you over the Northern side of the Volcano where you will be able to hear the volcano grumbling and see the lava flow. You start at local stables 2 miles from the Arenal Volcano where the tour guide and horses will be waiting for you to take you on a journey towards the volcano.

You will ride along pastureland and through the rainforest and when you pass the Northern flank of the Volcano Arenal you will be able to see the Northern plains that go on for miles.

If you are lucky you will be able to see the eruptions and see the lava as it pours down the side of the Volcano. The horseback ride will last for about an hour, you will visit
two natural lakes, cross rivers, and climb some rolling hills. After this you will arrive at the observation point overlooking the Volcano from a distance of 500m.

You can also do this tour as just a hike and also add on the Tabacon Hot springs!!
