Palo Verde National Park Safari River Float - Gulf of Nicoya

One of Costa Rica's most famous National Park situated where the Nicoya Peninsula hits the Guanacaste region on the estuary of the Gulf of Nicoya. The river is called the Rio Tempisque and is where the wet lowlands of Costa Rica lie.

Situated on 13,058 hectares of land the numerous habitats that are contained within the park are oustanding. The marshes are both fresh water and salt water, hence the diversity of wildlife.

The Park is famous for Crocodiles, Tucans with their wonderful tropical beaks, macaws (green and red ones), monkeys, sloths and many other creatures great and small.

You will wind down the river on a boat and the guide will point out animals of wildife and inform you of the importance that this area plays in the Costa Rican wildlife circle.

This tour offers some great chnaces to get those wildlife pictures that you only normally see on the Discovery Channel or National Geographic.
