White Water Rafting - Rio Savegre, Manuel Antonio

The Rio Savegre is one of Costa Rica's top white water rafting rivers and is especially great during Costa Rica's green season (May-November) as all the rain in the mountains pours down the river into the sea meaning rough rapids for the adventure tourist. There is also the Rio Naranjo which offers similar rafting. Do not think that if you have not done this before that you cannot do it, 90% of the people doing the adventure tour are first timers. There are different levels of rafting based on the roughness that you are looking for. But basically class V is the highest and I the lowest.

Along the Rio Savegre you will be astounded by the awesome canyons, waterfalls, and primary rainforest. The Savegre river is one of the most pristine rivers in the country, lurking just behind the shroud of lush foliage, you will find a number of truly magnificent waterfalls of the Savegre's tributaries.
