Ready to have that Adrenaline pump through your body like there is no tomorrow? Do not worry as well if this is your first time as the Rio Toro caters for beginners as well. If you are looking for that bit of adventure and the canopy tour is just not your cup of tea then maybe this will give you that fix you are looking for. The Rio Toro is a complete 3 hours of 45 continuous wet and wild class II -III-IV rapids that will keep any adventurous person happy. On the way you will traveling through secluded tropical rainforest as you head down the river towards to Ocean. A great opportunity to see lots of Costa Rica.
Normally a class I or II is very slow with no rapids and can be compared to a fast river float. This rafting is great for young children and gives people the opportunity to watch their surroundings. Class III is faster water and some little rapids and great for beginners who are not too confident. Class IV is the person looking to do real white water rafting, the adrenaline seeker. Above is a picture of class IV rapids. Finally class V is for the experts!! We will tailor any rafting trip to your specific needs.

Do expect however to fall out the raft at least once even if it is the guides throwing you in!!! (just joking). The Rio Toro is only an 1 hours drive from Arenal and the drive is very peaceful and offers great sweeping views over the Central Valley.

The Rio Toro is one of the top 20rivers in the world to raft and if you are coming to Costa Rica and want to have a once in a lifetime adventure to tell the grand children then this may just be it.

The Rio Toro is 14 miles through steep canyon walls with 100 foot waterfalls, great for photos and bathing. Lunch is included and consists of tropical fruits and beverages. Includes transportation, lunch, a bilingual guide, and all equipment.

What to bring: rubber soled shoes that can get wet (tennis or similar), swimsuit and shorts of a quick-drying material, t-shirt (optional), sun screen, towel, complete change of clothes for after rafting.
