21: Fly to the San Jose International airport
(SJO). As soon as you step off the aircraft you
will be met by one of our representatives, where
your itinerary will be explained and any questions
you have will be answered. The representative will
provide you with a pouch that contains vouchers
and information about your trip. From the airport
you will be privately transported to the small exclusive
Grano
de Oro hotel. This hotel is famous for being
part of the small exclusive hotels of the world
and offer supreme Costa Rican service. The restaurant
has to be one of the best in San Jose, if not Costa
Rica. The hotel has a sun deck and jacuzzi tub on
the roof as well as a pool bar so that you can relax
during the day and enjoy the Costa Rican sunshine.

23: Wake up and enjoy a great Costa Rican
breakfast of fruits and juices (not included). Today
you will be picked up and privately transferred
to the Tropical Paradise of Manuel Antonio where
the dense Costa Rica rainforest hits the pristine
white sands and crystal Pacific Ocean of Manuel
Antonio. Here you will check into Tulemar
Bungalows one of Manuel Antonio's most lavish
and panoramic hotels.

24 - 25: Spend Christmas Eve and Christmas
in paradise with the monkeys in the trees above
and the iguanas at your feet. Christmas dinner will
be served by the hotel (not included) however feel
free to try out some of the local cuisine. The Manuel
Antonio National park offers guests the best beaches
in Cost Rica. The National Park is full of wildlife
and has over 109 species of mammals and 184 of birds
of which the most popular are the sloth, white faced
monkey;s and the iguanas. You can walk the trails
of the National Park and look for hidden animals
and end up on a secluded beach in the middle of
nowhere. What better way to spend Xmas than in the
company of some of the worlds most popular animals
and surrounded by paradise.

26: You time for relaxation has ended as
today you will take a flight to Central America's
most active Volcano, do not worry it is very safe.
You will take a flight to Arenal via San Jose which
will offer you the chance to see some of Costa Rica
from he air. Once you arrive at the airstrip you
will be privately transported to the Montana
de Fuego Hotel and Spa. Montana de Fuego offers
you private rustic deluxe bungalows with direct
views of the Volcano, if the sky is clear you will
be able to see the lava fireworks display.

27:Today is the day of rest. If you
wish you can book an adventure tour however
the hotel offers some great Spa packages to
relax to. The area of Arenal is great for
walking through tropical gardens and appreciating
the marvel that is the Arenal Volcano. If
you have not seen a hummingbird before then
Arenal has millions of them.
Dec
28: Today you will walk the Arenal
Volcano right to the observation point. Your
guide will pick you up from the hotel and
guide you through the rainforest pointing
out flora and fauna of interest. Once you
have reached the observation point he will
explain the history of the Arenal Volcano
and the explanation of the changing lava flow.
From here you muscles will of course be tired
so what better was to recharge them than in
the volcanically heated mineral pools. It
is said that they have healing properties!!
Relax here and enjoy a buffet dinner at the
Tabacon Hot Springs resort before going back
to your hotel.

29: A
boat ride across the man made Lake Arenal
will be the call of today. The quickest way
to get from point A to B is in a straight
line however it involves a 4x4 and Boat ride,
but as with everything in Costa Rica it will
be an adventure!! Once you have crossed the
lake you will be checked into Monteverde's
most known hotel El
Establo. El Establo is a great location
for a stay in Monteverde as you are not far
from the town center and also there are loads
of trails to walk around.

30-31:
On either of the days you will be picked up
and taken to the Santa Elena reserve to play
Tarzan/Superman. Costa Rica is famous for
the Canopy tour where you ride Zip lines from
tree to tree at the top of the rainforests
canopy. This is a great way to see the rainforest
but also to have a bit of adventure.
Join
the local Monteverdians in their New Year
Celebrations!!
Jan
1: Wake up hopefully without a hangover!!
Transfer back to San Jose and stay at Hotel
Alta.
Jan
2: Today wake up late and enjoy the
view of the Central Valley that Hotel Alta
offers. If you want to you can go into San
Jose and barter with the local market stall
owners for their goods, always make sure you
get a good price!!

3: You will be privately transported
to the San Jose International Airport where
you will fly back to England.
