The Fonda Vela is an ideal hotel for bird watching with more than one kilometer of private hiking trails and within walking distance of the Monteverde Cloud Forest, the Hummingbird Gallery and the Children’s Eternal Rainforest. If you are looking some where that is typically Monteverde style then the Hotel Fonda Vela will meet all of the requirements.

All the 40 rooms have large windows with views of the forest allowing the outside beauty to be a part of a cosy interior as well as having a private bath, hot water, 2 queen-size beds or a king size bed, telephone, and all are wheel chair accessible. Some Junior Suites also come with TV’s and a sitting area. The hotel has a wonderful rustic restaurant with a separate bar serving local Costa Rican drinks. There is also a TV room and laundry services are provided. The hotel can also organise guided horseback riding and tours of private hiking trails.
