Day 1: Fly to the San Jose International airport (SJO). As soon as you step off the aircraft you will be met by one of our representatives, where your itinerary will be explained and any questions you have will be answered. The representative will provide you with a pouch that contains vouchers and information about your trip. From the airport you will be privately transported to Hotel Alta. Only 15 minutes away from the colourful suburb of Escazu and Santa Ana. Hotel Alta is a wonderful Spanish /Costa Rican style colonial hotel and on a clear day you are able to see the 3 volcanoes surrounding the Central Valley. Continental Breakfast included.
Day 2: Private Transfer to Arenal up into the mountains and through the rainforest. Stay at Arenal Paraiso in a Superior Private Bungalow with views of the Volcano. Relax in the thermally heated swimming pool and take a drink in the hot spring fed wet bar.
Day 3: Wake up and appreciate the volcano and rainforest. After lunch take an Observation Hike of the volcano with a guide who will point animals and plants of interest, finish the guided tour reaching a vantage point over the volcano where you are able to watch the lava flow. After this relax and soothe your muscles in the natural mineral hot springs of the Tabacon Resort and enjoy a buffet dinner at the resort. Spend the night admiring the Arenal volcano as it glows in the Costa Rica moonlight. Stay at the Areal Paraiso.
Day 4: After Breakfast take a private transfer to the beach paradise of Tamarindo. Stay at the beach front Tamarindo Diria Resort, with 113 rooms this hotel is located in a prime position within Tamarindo for easy access to superb restaurants and bars. Great for people just wanting to work on their tan or swim in the hotels 2 great pools.
Day 5 : Spend the day relaxing on the beach or exploring the down of Tamarindo. If you are a surfer why not hit the surf breaks on the northern side of Tamarindo. Stay at the Tamarindo Diria Resort.
Day 6 : Get ready to see the rainforest in a way that you thought you never would!! Take the Canopy Combination Buena Vista Tour. Ride zip lines through the top of the rainforests canopy with expert instructors and see the rainforest like never before. After the canopy tour, enjoy the 420 meter water slide and revive yourself with a typical Costa Rican lunch. Then enjoy a 45 minute guided horseback ride through the forest to the relaxing hot springs, where you will get the chance to apply a natural mud mask rich in minerals. Your tour includes lunch, bilingual guide, and transportation. Stay at Tamarindo Diria Resort.
Day 7: Transfer to Tamarindo Airstrip and take an afternoon flight to San Jose. Privately transfer to Hotel Alta and spend your last night surrounded by the 3 Volcanoes surrounding San Jose.
Day 8 : As always everything great comes to end. Privately transfer to San Jose international airport and have a safe flight home.
Extra days for the 14 day package will be an extra night in Arenal at Areal Paraiso, extra 2 nights at El Establo Hotel in Monteverde, and a week at the Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort.
