You start at local stables 2 miles from the Arenal Volcano where the tour guide and horses will be waiting for you to take you on a journey towards the volcano.

If you are lucky you will be able to see the eruptions and see the lava as it pours down the side of the Volcano. The horseback ride will last for about an hour, you will visit two natural lakes, cross rivers, and climb some rolling hills. After this you will arrive at the observation point overlooking the Volcano from a distance of 500m.
