Day 1 From your San Jose hotel, you will be picked up by your own private, comfortable bus and transported to our operations center, where you will enjoy a delicious breakfast, and change in to your swimming gear. You will then be transferred to our HQ for the safety talk and equipment fitting and familiarization.

The first days rapids are a welcoming Class III, and will carry you deep in to the primary rainforest. At lunch time you will stop on the riverbank, where your guides will prepare a delicious picnic lunch, whilst you are lead through the rainforest to a magnificent waterfall and pool where you can swim.

Soon you will arrive at the award-winning lodge where the afternoon can be used to relax, hike or more swimming in the waterfall fed pools. All the comforts that you need are provided in the style of “Cabecar Indian” bungalows. There are both private single and double rooms available, with modern bathrooms and showers. You will then have the opportunity to take advantage of happy hour before you are served a delicious candlelit dinner with wine served by your guides.

Day 2 After an early start and a fulfilling breakfast, you will prepare to raft the Pacuare Gorge. You will see gushing waterfalls, serene pools and experience pounding rapids. Again you will stop on the riverbank for refreshments and the opportunity to explore more waterfalls and some natural waterslides.

Now get ready for the adrenaline to really kick in, as you raft down rapids such as Upper and Lower Huacas, Cimarron, Dos Montañas and many more. By lunch time you will welcome the hot lunch served out the Rios tropicales Operations Center. Here you can shower, change in the supplied changing rooms and refresh yourself with hot and cold drinks and snacks. You will now take the return journey to your San Jose Hotel, with some spectacular views on the way.
