The basis of the system is cables at the top of the rainforest canopy from tree platform to tree platform. You where a harness and on this harness is a runner that you use to slide along the cables. You also wear a big leather glove, this is your brake, sounds weird but works very well. The tours usually has about 4 guides on it allowing you to zip freely from tree to tree. The Canopy tour starts with an energising hike through primary forest to the site of the first platform (10 minutes), now is the time to see the forest like you have never seen it before. There are 840 meters of cable as you fly tree to tree where you will hang as a monkey with a harness and safety equipment discovering the forest from a totally new point of view. There really is no better way to see the rainforest and the wildlife. Not many people get to live life like Tarzan in the Costa Rican Rainforest.
